It's Almost Spring Time!

The Earth goes her many seasons, as do we. We cannot be harvesting year-round, and there comes a time when we do reap what we sow. This is a time when Mother Earth starts to regrow, rebuild and blossom for the upcoming warm months.

Just as we cannot rush her to bloom any faster, we cannot rush our own growth. Our journey takes as long it needs, and our babies take just the perfect amount of time to develop and be born. Both nature and birth alike, we can rely on predictability, and also be prepared for unexpected activity.

On the blog this month, and in this episode of Ask the Midwife, Anne discusses how she provides care in situations that don’t go as intended. She also shares her perspective on cesareans and why she encourages a gentle, homebirth model of care in the operating room.
